The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 14 hours and resumed service the following morning.
The flight attendant remained on sick leave for more than 6 months.
Germany's BFU however told The Aviation Herald, that they have been informed about the event, but did not rate the occurrence as serious incident or accident, no investigation took place therefore after the BFU contacted an affected person and received reports by the crew as well as technical documentation of the aircraft.
Germany's "Die Welt" reported on May 31st 2016, that the flight attendant was denied acknowledgement as work accident and resulting support and in 2014 filed a law suit against "Berufgenossenschaft Verkehr" (BG, basically a statuary health insurance) to be recognized as victim of a work accident. In an admission on May 23rd 2016 the BG agreed that the flight attendant became victim of a work accident. "Die Welt" continued that the court subsequently commented, that a verdict was no longer necessary as result of the admission.
The Aviation Herald is still waiting for comment by the BFU whether they intend to at least now open an investigation into the occurrence following this admission by BG, that makes clear that a serious injury had occurred on board of that flight requiring a classification as accident according to ICAO guidelines.
