In the meantime a Delta Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration N339NB performing flight DL-1386 from New York La Guardia,NY to Boston,MA (USA), was on final approach to runway 04R descending through about 400 feet AGL, tower was just in the middle of the word "roger" in response to AA-349 reporting ready in one minute, when tower shouted the instruction "Go Around!", then "Delta 1386, go-around!" The crew acknowleged "We are on the go" and climbed out again.
Tower continued, entirely calm voice again, instructing AA-349 to make a 180 and hold short of runway 04R, the aircraft was later instructed to line up runway 04R and departed.
DL-1386 positioned for another approach and landed safely on runway 04R 12 minutes after aborting the first approach.
The FAA reported the controller took the precaution to instruct the A319 to go around after the Boeing 737 had crossed the hold short line of runway 04R and taxied across the runway.
