The runway was closed for about 30 minutes until emergency services checked the aircraft and towed it off the runway.
In October 2023 Czechia's UZPLN reported there was a loud noise from the right hand side when the aircraft climbed through 500 feet AGL almost immediately followed by right hand engine failure indications prompting the crew to declare emergency. The crew continued the climb to 3000 feet and returned to Prague for a safe landing on runway 24. The aircraft stopped on the runway, the crew shut the left hand engine down with just the APU running, the aircraft was subsequently towed off the runway. Metallic debris was found in the exhaust pipe of the right hand engine. A borescopic inspection revealed damage from the 4th stage of the low pressure compressor onwards with complete destruction of stages 5-13 of the high pressure compressur, stage 1 and 2 of high pressure turbine with all blades missing. The engine was replaced, the damaged engine was taken to the manufacturer for detailed analysis by the manufacturer.
